Dog Collars. The Dog World Has Gone Mad. Electric Shock Dog Collars Are Legal?

And they say we live in a humane world!

I came across an astonishing article about using electrified dog collars to train dogs, and worse still, it was focused in a small city in South Wales, where I was born and still live.

Dog collars are a great training aid for the more stubborn of dogs. They also serve as ways to protect, store and show ownership to ones dog, but using dog collars as a way to ill treat a domesticated dog is simply barbaric.

Wales Assembly members electrified!

So this article starts like this; “Welsh Assembly members were given a literal shock when they were zapped with electric shock dog collars by a Kennel Club team campaigning to ban the collars.”

The article then goes on to explain how some members of the local government volunteered to take a shock;

“As one of the unlucky Assembly Members who volunteered to receive a shock, I can appreciate how painful and distressing it must be for a dog which is forced to wear one,” said Shadow Minister for Local Government and Public Services, Nick Ramsay AM (Conservative, Monmouth)

Electrified dog collars. How can we let this happen?

Thankfully their are lots of support to ban this cruel stupid idea The Kennel club for sure are top of the list for supported the BANNING of electrified dog
collars;

“Lesley Griffiths AM (Labour, Wrexham) said: “I am firmly in support of a ban on these cruel devices. There are much better and more effective ways of
assisting training and curing behavioural problems with dogs that don’t rely on cruelty. I will therefore be backing moves in the Welsh Assembly to get shock collars banned.”

Dog Collars. Should they be used as a way to harm dogs?
